Our company was founded by Peoria native and former Mayor, James Maloof. In 1969, he started Jim Maloof / Realtor® and within 8 years, became the #1 company in sales in Central Illinois. The company's current President is Jim's son, Michael Maloof.
Today, Jim Maloof / Realtor® is Central Illinois' largest independent Realtor with 17 branches in six counties and employs over 200 agents and a support staff of 30. We consider Jim Maloof / Realtor® our company because of the caring family atmosphere. We are a technology-current community and family oriented company involved in several philanthropies. These include being a major supporter of the St. Jude Mid-West Affiliate, the Peoria Ballet, and the Salvation Army.
We function as a "one-stop-shop" by offering several specialty divisions including a Commercial Department, a New Homes/Construction Department, the area's only Corporate Welcome Center/Relocation Department, Prestige Rentals and an award-winning Marketing/Advertising Department.

The Legacy Report
He's a man humming a tune, the hint of a smile on his face, to music unheard by anyone around him. His positive outlook and optimism are his trademark, forged through tough times, hard work and character.
He personifies the spirit of America . . . hard-core entrepreneur, immigrant parents, unflinching in the face of work. Never defeated, never quits.
He has referred to himself as "the little pants presser from Peoria" who went on to become mayor and owner of a multimillion-dollar real estate business. But nothing has shaped the life of Jim Maloof more than his work with childhood cancer patients.
St. Jude children have broken his heart but never his spirit. For 45 years, Maloof, now 83, has worked in fund raising and morale boosting for St. Jude patients and their families. Most of that time, his wife, Trudy, was his silent partner, until her death 1½ years ago.
