12 Annual Key to Friendship

The key has been found!

The Key to Friendship was found on Friday morning around 11:30a.m. by Nathan Bowton, his one year old daughter Emmersyn Bowton, and his younger sister Ariel Bowton all of Canton.  They found the Key on North 11th between Cypress and Alder Road.  It was near a small bridge on the East side of the road under a brick.  The Bowton's will receive the $1,000 during a ceremony held at the Canton Friendship Festival grounds stage immediately after the conclusion of the parade on Saturday.  This year's festival theme is "Let the Games Begin". Sometimes the road to winning is a long one it seems...
Lot's of ears can hear at night out in the moonbeam!

I think a racing game could go on here...
Although you may have to watch out for deer!

In most games it's bad to be out...
Not in this one where I am you can shout!

Golf is a game you use a club and a ball...
Some may call what I'm near a wall!

Yellow and round, green and long...
Listen carefully for the bird's song!

In many games you need a ball...
Where I am you won't need one at all!

In a game of chess we see whose strategy is best...
By the time you find me you will need to rest!

There are things nearby that in a way remind me of Dr. Mario...
They help you know which way to go!

In the early 1900's Monopoly was made...
What I am near appears paved!

Something the color of anger is nearby...
I hope that it doesn't make me cry!

Grass can be green and the sky can be blue...
I sure enjoy running away from you!

I see something tall in the sky...
Sometimes I wish I was a bird and could fly!

You must see the warning is very near...
Something with a motor is what I hear!

The key to winning many games is covering your bases...
This is true even in races!

If you figure out what game it is you could win it would seem!

Canton is known for many different kinds…

Be on the alert or be left behind!

Around me are things that are straight and some would say slim…

Many kinds of games are played in a gym!

If you play monopoly you want to pass go…

Where I am at it just isn’t so!
